Looking for information on: James Riley McGee (born in Denton TX about 1841), married in Denton TX about 1859-62 to Frances Jane Mitcheltree (born abt. 1841-43 in VA). George W. (possibly Wesley) McGee (my great grandfather) was one of their several children, born in Denton TX about 1865-69, married in TX to Allie Pool (born abt. 1869). The photo belonged to my 2nd great grandfather, Sam Young, who was apparently a friend of Boone's. They served together in Company G of the 18th TX Cav. The photo is of members of Company G who attended a reunion around 1900. Boone also wrote out an affidavit for my ancestor for a military penison. I have a photocopy of it.
