The Rev. Bob Montgomery and the Rev. Nick Sholars officiated. Burial was in Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Dalton and Sons Funeral Home of Lewisville. Mrs. Mooring died Thursday in Dallas. She was born November 17, 1905 in Miller Grove, Texas. Survivors include one son, Louie Ray Mooring of Houston; one daughter, Mrs. Meatrice Lair of Flower Mound; five brothers, Jim Anderson and Ram Anderson of Point; frank Anderson of Argyle; Ralph Anderson of Euless; Charles Anderson of Austin; two sisters, Lola Bell Gilbert of Emory and Nannie Harris of Wills Point; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Lionel Hallonquist officiating. Burial was in Old Hall Cemetery under the direction of Lucas-Halden Funeral Home. Mr. Crawford died Tuesday at Flow Memorial Hospital in Denton. He was born January 16, 1897, in Lewisville. Mr. Crawford and his family were pioneers of the Lewisville area. They owned the land where the Flower Mound Visitor’s Center is now location. Mr. Crawford owned and operated Crawford’s Grocery and Market for approximately 30 years. He married Jewis Moore in 1915. An active businessman, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include his widow, Jewis Moore Crawford; one son, Raymond Crawford of Dallas; one daughter, Elizabeth Moseley of Allen; one brother, John Crawford of Fort Worth; grandchildren R.L. Crawford, Jr. and Jerry J. Crawford of Lewisville, and Easy Moseley and Joe Moseley of Allen; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were R.L. Crawford, Jerry J. Ministers Roger Johnson and Andy McDonald officiated. Burial was at Flower Mound Cemetery. Mrs. Thiede died August 30 in a car accident. She was born November 8, 1925. Mrs. Thiede was a licensed vocational nurse and worked at both the Lewisville and Grapevine Nursing Homes. She earned her nursing degree at the Denton School of Vocational Nursing on May 1, 1970. Mr. and Mrs. Thiede were married September 11, 1943 and Jeanette was adopted in May, 1964. Survivors include her widower, Homer Thiede of Lewisville, one daughter, Jeanette of Lewisville, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.W. Wood of Coppell; one sister, Freda Morris of Lewisville, two brothers, Herschel Wood of Lewisville and Kenneth Wood of Irving. This is also true of obituaries. It's only cost me a dollar for obituaries that I have sent off for from various libraries in the U.S. (it covers their postage).

She married Ernest Lee Miller Sr. June 19, 1940, in Alton. He died June 19, 1975. She worked as a cook for the Wentzville, Mo., school district. She also was employed as an aide at the Wentzville Nursing Home and later retired from the Alton Garment Factory in Alton. She was a member of the Alton First Southern Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Marjorie and Ray Widman of Carlyle, Ill., and Sharon and Dave Hoff of Springdale, Ark.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ernest Lee Miller Jr. of Alton, Terry and Kathy Miller of Flower Mound, Texas, and Gregory C. and Alicia Miller of Staunton; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Fletcher of Alton; and a brother and his wife, George and Naomi Middleton of Jerseyville.
