Some Holmeses lived in Denton Co, TX, I think---just don't know who. Also, a Beatrice (Bess) Holmes married Tom Dean. Their daughter married a Crutchfield. We don't know where Beatrice and Tom met. She was in Wise Co, TX as a young girl late 1800's, before they moved to Indian Territory (OK). Perhaps the Holmes, Dean, and Crutchfield families knew each other in Texas????? guesses...guesses It's what keeps me digging! Thanks for your time.

So I am paying $15.00 per copy for my books also because now I know that is the correct price. Sorry for any confusion. I think $15.00 is more than fair for such a good book and the price is going to a very worthy cause. Kathie

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hkB.2ACI/1599.2.1.1.1.2 Message Board Post: This book is the history of the Little Elm community in Denton County, TX. Little Elm was one of the earliest communities in the county and the location where many of the Peters Colonist settlers lived. The book was originally published in about 1915 ? and then reproduced for the Texas Sesquicentennial in 1986. It sold in hard and soft cover. Woodrow Witt of Little Elm distributed the book. The last time the Museum where I work tried to get more copies to sell, we were told that there were no more copies available. Perhaps you can watch for a copy on Ebay.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hkB.2ACI/1599.2.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: This book is small, but mighty. It is a history of the Little Elm Community in Denton County, Texas. There are small family histories on most of the founding families of this area. It is invaluable to anyone who had families who settled this area. I have two relatives that are interested in having copies of the book, so that is why I was trying to locate some copies of it. I bought the copy that I have back in the mid 1980's and think it was around $25.00. I am going to call the Little Elm Library today and find out the current price. I will also get a mailing address for them and post the information on the message board so that anyone else wishing to get a copy of the book will have the information. Thanks, Kathie Sarchet
