Dallas Morning News, The (TX) - March 20, 2005 Deceased Name: BRYANT MARIAN WARREN BRYANT, MARIAN WARREN, wife of Dr. William E. Bryant for 63 years, went home to be with her Lord on March 19, 2005. Marian was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, July 23, 1921, to Mr. and Mrs. Myrl Warren. She graduated from Shawnee High School, attended Oklahoma Baptist University, and was married to Bill in 1942. During both high school and college, Marian was active in music, singing in the Mixed Quartet and Ladies' Quartet at OBU, representing her school and church in religious and church-related activities statewide. Marian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She served her church generously and faithfully as a children's teacher and was a dedicated member of her women's prayer group. Her enthusiastic approach to life led her to complete her private pilot's license along-side her husband, and strap on snow skis for the first time at the age of 60. She was an inspiration to all who were blessed to know her. Marian is survived by her husband, Bill, thr! ee sons and daughters in-law: Dr. Alan Bryant and Sharon, Mr. Lynn Bryant and Kathy, Dr. Loren Bryant and Jeannette. Marian was known lovingly as "Nana" to her 9 grandchildren: Dr. David Bryant (Molly), Craig Bryant (Amelia), Eric Bryant, Joanna Bryant, Angelynn Bryant Zimmer, Warren Bryant, Whitney Bryant, Travis Bryant, Caroline Bryant Livingston (Will), and great-grandson, Bryant William Livingston. Marian is also survived by her brother, Myrl Warren, and two sisters, Jean Epperson and Ellen Brinson. A private burial will take place at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at Park Cities Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Buckner Children's Home, or a charity of choice.
