Don there is no obit in the Dallas Morning News for your Ellis Weaver in 1926. There is one for Edward E. Weaver who died Sept 24 , 1926. He was an attorney. If you want, I will pull this one and send to you. I can get a death certificate at the Dallas library for you, maybe in a week or two. I am trying to locate a family member who is listed in the Texas Death Index. My family member is listed as ELLIS WEAVER, died in Dallas County Texas, 4 Sept 1926. Is there any one that can look this record up for me ? Also, if possible, can I get some one to do an obituary lookup for me? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. You can get his death certificate from the Texas Department of State Health Services. Download their Vital Statistics Form for death certificates: http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/vs/reqproc/forms.shtm Unfortunately I'm not in Dallas and don't have access to his obituary. I had already found Ellis Weaver in the on line Texas death index but I'm not sure he is mine. The Weaver I am looking for was listed in the 1920 Tarrant County Texas Census as Henry E. Weaver. I believe Henry's middle name was Ellis but am not sure. I wanted to get a lookup on Ellis to see if he is mine before sending for the record. All so, I believe that if some one in Dallas looked him up in the Dallas Public Library I could get a copy of his death certificate for as little as $ .50. I think this is the amount the Library charges. Thank you for sending me the information. I do appreciate it.
