Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday in Bean-Massey-Burge Chapel. Visitation: Viewing will be noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials: MADD or the Dallas Area Parkinsonism Society, 3003 LBJ, Suite 128E, Dallas, Texas 75234. She was born in Harrisburg, Ark., in 1923. Mrs. Zimmerman was a graduate of George Peabody College in 1946 in nursing education, got her master's in community health nursing from TWU and was a graduate of old Dallas Methodist Hospital in 1945. Gwen was an RN in 1945. She was employed by Arkansas State Board of Health and the Dallas City Health Department in public health positions. She taught community health nursing at Dallas Baptist College School of Nursing 1976 to 1982. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Arthur and Pearl Dauley, and her husband, George Eslie Zimmerman, in 1984. Survivors: Son, George David Zimmerman of Lewisville; and brother, Dean I. Dauley of Grand Prairie. Mrs. Zimmerman, 80, died Tuesday. Born June 3, 1923, in Harrisburg, Ark., Mrs. Zimmerman graduated from George Peabody College in Nashville, Tenn., in 1946 and earned a master's degree from Texas Woman's University. She worked for the Arkansas State Board of Health and the Dallas Health Department. She also taught nursing at the Dallas Baptist College School of Nursing. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Zimmerman; and her parents, Arthur and Peal Dauley. Survivors include her son, George Zimmerman of Lewisville, and her brother, Dean Dauley of Grand Prairie. Memorials may be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving or the Dallas Area Parkinsonism Society, 3003 LBJ Freeway, Suite 128E, Dallas, Texas 75234.
