Diane is survived by Rod Holland, her devoted husband of 20 years; Lora Lauderdale, her loving mother, a gentle brother, two admired sisters, four cherished nephews and dearly-loved aunts, uncles and cousins. Diane's indomitable spirit with her unfaltering courage and hope never failed to inspire those graced by her presence. From late childhood blindness, through kidney failure, then seizures and strokes, Diane mastered the art of living through all of the difficult, life-diminishing seasons of diabetes. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Richardson, Texas, 319 La Salle Dr. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorial donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (ww.jdrf.org).
