Hi Bill, Thanks so much for looking. I got the information from Rootsweb on the Texas death index and it had Dallas so I don't know if it was city or county. Is the city of Dallas,Tx. in Dallas County? I sent two fees to Texas for a birth and death certificate and haven't heard a word from them. They cashed my checks weeks ago. I believe he was born in 1906 in Texas. So I thought I would try for an obituary and maybe I could learn more about him.He was a RR. engineer I believe for Southern Pacific out of Oregon. When I have ordered other death certificates of A.C.Long's sisters and brother from Texas I got them very quick so I don't know what the problem is other than it might not be the right dates. Thank You for your efforts, Bonnie
Have you searched Jim Wheat's Dallas County Archives site? He's got a lot of good stuff on there - turn of the century births, obits, old Dallas city directories, etc. and it's searchable.
