My mother is writing about some of her memories of the early 1930's and remembers that some of the boys belonged to an organization which required them to wear uniforms and "Sam Brown Belts". My uncle belonged and went to North Side High School in Ft. Worth. She can't remember what they were called (she is 88 years young). I've looked all over the internet in an attempt to find the name of the organization but have been unsuccessful. I checked the CAP but that started in 1941 and I doubt that the Jr. ROTC was in existence then either. Can anyone help? Barbara Leland [email protected]
