When I was at the National Archives, I looked at the 1930 map of Dallas County Enumeration District Map and found it to be very unclear, impossible to read because the numbers and the colors all blurred together. Is there a printed map? Has anyone worked on the 1930 boundaries, putting them into a current Key Map? Barbara Wyche [email protected]
I had exactly the same experience with the same map at Archives. I also found an error in the only street address I looked up in the 1930 San Antonio index on microfilm there (an apparent typo, which I reported). I have not found a good ED map of Dallas for 1930 but have found Dr. Morse's site very useful for obtaining EDs. Mapquest's modern maps are also useful in some cases. Joel Weintraub's Yahoo groups site describes the EDs' boundaries for Dallas and several other cities. Good luck!
