Bennett. I know his father was Calvin Lafayette Bennett but recently discovered information leads me to believe I may have the wrong wife listed as the mother. Calvin Lafayette Bennett was married to (1) Mary (Ada) Margaret Lumley (DIED 1873) and (2) Margaret E. Leach. For many years I have believed he had a son named Dan or Daniel (one born 1872 the other 1874) by both wives but I am not so sure of that now. Only my Great-grandfather is listed in 1880 census for precinct 4, Dallas County. How do you locate a birth certificate from Mar 1874 in Dallas county?
