Biographical Record of Bartholomew County, Indiana including biographies of the governors and other representative citizens of Indiana. Indianapolis, Ind.,B.F. Bowen, 1904 Don't know if any of this is new, and doesn't answer your questions, but thought you might be interested. This book contains a bio of a Dr. John S. Arwine, b. 1824 in TN, the son of James and Mary (Martin) Arwine. His parents removed to TX in 1869. The father served in the Mexican War and briefly served in the Civil War as well, though of advanced age. There were nine sons in all and their Civil War service is mentioned. Says the parents removed from Anderson Co. TN to Lawrence Co., IN when John was about 10, then to Brown Co. in 1842. In 1854, James md. Harriet A. Manville. The rest is about his children, his practice, etc. and seems to imply that he is still in Columbus, Bartholemew Co., IN at the time of writing. --- Theresa/Bob Weddell <[email protected]> wrote: > I am looking for info that will tell me WHERE > James Arwine & wife Mary lived in Irving and > info giving me a clue as to why James Arwine > and his wife Mary Martin Arwine lived in > Irving, Dallas County, Texas rather than in > Birdville, Tarrant County, Texas with their > children and friends who came from the general > area of Brown County, Indiana. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
