Glenda, I am interested in hearing about the Brown family. My grgrandmother was Caroline Brown. I can not find information regarding her family. I do know that they came from Ga. I do have a photo of a Sanford Brown. MY GREAT GRANDMOTHER WAS BORN INA BELL RYLIE IN 1872 IN RYLIE PRAIRIE (NOW PART OF S/E DALLAS WHERE 175 AND 635 CROSS) SHE HAD THREE OLDER BROTHERS 1. MAJOR H. 2. JAMES (JIM) 3. JOHN (JACK) THERE HAD BEEN A MARY THE FIRST BORN OF THE FAMILY BUT AFTER THE 1860 CENSUS SHE WAS NOT MENTIONED AGAIN. I WAS GUESSING SHE DIED (BUT SHE COULD OF BEEN MARRIED AT A VERY YOUNG AGE) SHE WAS 4 IN 1860 CENSUS AND IT HAD HER AS MARY J. THE PARENTS WERE JOHN ARMSTRONG RYLIE AND HARRIET HARDING RYLIE. JOHN CAME TO DALLAS AS A BOY WITH HIS PARENTS JAMES R. RYLIE AND MARY SNOW RYLIE AND THREE SISTERS BEFORE 1846.
