Am trying to find out what streets 684 Ross St. would be between. I am trying to find Albert B. Morris on the 1900 census. Thanks for ANY help. Jackie, go to the home.pacbell.net site of Prof.Morse (do a Google.com search on Enumeration Districts - it wil come up first). Select Texas, Dallas, and Ross in the appropriate boxes. Several EDs containing Ross will pop up. Enter the street number on the current maps box and examine the map that comes up. You will see that Elm is roughly bound by major streets Elm and Lamar, among others. Then look at the descriptions of the EDs that you were given in the earlier step. Unless things have changed drastically since 1930, your ED for 684 Ross is probably the first one, 57-4. Good luck! (By the way, there is no Ross St. shown, only Ross Ave.) Jackie Morgan wrote: Am trying to find out what streets 684 Ross St. would be between. I am trying to find Albert B. I can not believe that they would not let you take a picture. I have relatives who are buried there and have taken pictures of all of there markers. I also took one of Bonnie Parker who is buried there. Where is the marker and I will go a take the picture. If I could afford it I would have moved my parents out of there years ago. You may want to call the man Geron at the Texas Historical Comm. here in Austin to get the "scoop" on photographing, or if there may be a date at which you have to stop publishing the info like the census information. I have family that has recently been buried in old cemeteries around Ft. Worth and all info is online. I don't see the problem with this myself!! They say the only way to take a picture in this cemetery is to have the permission of relatives. I don't think I'll be welcome there again from all the words I heard them say. Maybe you'd better call them and get permission for me. That way I could take one picture.
Could someone who has quick access to the 1910 or 1900 census (Dallas Co), please look up an Avey DORMAN, wife Hattie. Thanks! Candi

Both his parents were from Virginia. His wife, Mary L., was born about 1821 in Illinois with parents who also originated from Illinois. I found an 1880 census of them in Precinct 7, Dallas, Texas. The children listed are Sarah E. Pruitt, 30, TX; Josaphine (sic) Pruitt, 17, TX; John M. Pruitt, 15, TX; and my Great Grandmother, Charlotte Pruitt, 14, 1866, TX, who married Andrew Jackson McCarty in 1885 in Texas; and Joseph W. Pruitt, 12, born in TX. >From my research, it appears that Joseph Pruitt's parents may tie into the families in Virginia since this is where they originate from. I would appreciate any census, marriage, land or birth leads that anyone may stumble across to solve this puzzle. Thank you so much. Corine
