Irick C. Chandler died May 30, 1911, Waco, Tx. Arrangemants by Fall & Puckett Funeral Home, by W. G. Huggins, for Albert T. Chandler. Res. at time of death, 1309 Mary St.. Interred at Oakwood Cem. May 31. This info is from funeral home records. Charity Ann, born 18 Nov. 1846- died 17 Jan. 1916. (daughter of G. P. Cox) This information from Compton Funeral Home records, Waco. The fact that Charity had a daughter named Rachel makes this all the more interesting.. There was a Rachel, I believe a daughter of William, also. And in the late 1930's, they lived in the Oak Cliff area. I think I'll be doing some late night searching on this. Best regards, Lois

My William Gaston Huggins was b. in NC in 1874-moved to Waco, TX with his Mother and sister,, Charity Cox and Rachel Owen Huggins. William G. married Carrie Adele Clark then he married my grandmother Mary E. Berry in Waco. Mary E. Berry lived in Dallas in the 1880's. As far as I tell W.G. Huggins only had a sister. In 1948, my parents Frank Everette and Dovie Robinson Huggins and, of course, me, moved to the Oak Cliff area of Dallas.

Surnames: HUGGINS-CHANDLER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZkB.2ACI/1893 Message Board Post: We are searching for information on the relatives and ancestors of my husband. Irick Clay Chandler married Cynthia Ann Cox Huggins, who had been married before and had several children. They produced Albert Trent Chandler,b-1883-N.C. One of Cynthia's sons from her first marriage was one William Huggins who lived in Dallas at least into the 1930's. We have not been able to learn when and where Irick Clay and Cynthia Ann were married, or the names and birth dates of any of Cynthia's other children. Irick is listed in the Waco TX. directory, 1890, working for Blake Mnfg. Co. We think they both died in the Waco area. If any one has any information I would be forever grateful to receive it. Thanks.

Huggins. You didn't put in a time frame, so this is a real long shot, but this may be the half-brother to my husband's grandfather, Irick Clay Chandler. Chandler had one half-brother that we know of who lived in the Dallas area as recently as the 1930's.His name was William Huggins. Irick and his wife, Cynthia Ann lived in Waco in 1890. If you can give me some dates, maybe we can put something together. Do you know anything at all re: Wm. Huggins, place of birth and date, parents names, etc? I'm anxious to hear from you.

    2. I'm trying to locate info on W. Andrew HANCOCK, born in MO, and in Fannin Co. with his family in 1850. Following the death of his parents and 3 siblings in the late 1860s (supposedly in an Indian raid), he lived with his twin sister Martha and surviving brother there for a while. I notice an Andrew Hancock listed in the Dallas 1880 census and wonder if this is the same Andrew. Is there anyone who could check the Dallas 1880 Census, ED 69, page 342, and send me the info? Help would be greatly appreciated. Jerri Eoff Sudderth

Surnames: Stricklin Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZkB.2ACI/1892 Message Board Post: I am trying to locate family members of the William E. and Irene Stricklin family. They had five known children: Merele, Mattie, Wilson E., Charles F. and Robert B. Stricklin. I am researching information regarding Robert B. Stricklin, who died on July 15, 1944 on a WWII bombing mission with the 450th BG. I have recently learned that his parents were William and Irene. I believe that both of his brothers passed away in the Dallas area. Charles F. Stricklin died on April 7, 1986 and Wilson E. Stricklin died on January 1, 1999. I was hoping to obtain an obituary for each of them, which may give me clues to contact family members. I have a lot to share on Robert, but I would like to learn more about his childhood and parents. Any help is appreciated.
