    3. Howdy Robert, TX Death Records: Donald Reed HIGGINS died 25 Oct 1969 in Dallas County. His marrital status was listed as Single. You can get his death certificate from the Texas Department of Health, Bureau of Vital Statistics: http://www.tdh.state.tx.us/bvs/default.htm I believe published obituaries are available from the Dallas Public Library, History and Archives: http://dallaslibrary.org/CTX/ctx.htm Bill Allen <[email protected]> [email protected] wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > > Hi Fred; I'm still looking for my uncle. He was a musician and either used his middle name as his last or else he used his last name??? Any help finding him would be extremely important to his remaining brother Stanley, who is 83 and in a long term care facility. > I have only this. I don't know what else to tell you. Isn't that what research is all about? I'm lost with your response. I would love to find a death cert., a marriage cert., anything that might link him back to us. We know he died in Dallas Oct. 25, 1969, and that he was a Sgt. in the Army Air Corps during WWII, and that he was born Sept. 20, 1910 in NY. THAT"S IT though my friend. > If I am asking to much, tell me please. > Thank you, > Robert

I reviewed your posting history and found there is a common thread in all of your postings. You do not include any information regarding possible dates or locations for your folks. Without such data, other researchers that would like to help you have no starting place. Names and possible dates would also help on your posting about a lookup in Oakland Cemetery. Someone may already have the info you seek. Good luck. ...............Fred

    2. Hi List, I want to thank everyone for their help in looking for an obit and correct dates for me,on my uncle AC.Long. You are a great list to belong to. It is exciting to get more information on my ancestors. The state won't let me have a copy of his death certificate if he has been dead less than 25 years because I'm not an immediate family member but I may have that date wrong too and I may luck up and get one. Thanks Again, Bonnie

Spelling here is exactly as it appears via that source. Obviously, the transcriber had a problem reading the handwriting. The "Ntah" must be your Utah. 05/18/1938, Ntah Correl Lamb (m); m. Those of us doing genealogy research are very thankful for the voluntary work you do in traveling to cemeteries, taking the photos and posting them on your site to aid us in our searching. I've observed your numerous notifications on both County and Surname forums. I've observed other messages about Crown Hill Cemetery regarding their lack of cooperation, refusal to permit access, etc. The "Supervisors" are apparently unique in their attitudes about the information on headstones being private rather than public. That's the only public cemetery in the Dallas area that I'm aware of that so limits access, other than some of the very small private family cemeteries not open to the public. Your work is admired. Mr. Drake and his Supervisors come across as belonging to some weird cult. Keep up your good work. Fred
