One set of my gg grandparents were William Wilson KIRKLAND, MD. and his wife Polly Ann KELLUM KIRKLAND. These Kirklands moved to Coryell County from McLennan County in 1874. William Wilson KIRKLAND, son of Archibald KIRKLAND and Mary CHANEY KIRKLAND, was b. 2 Jan., 1820, in TN/AL and died 23 Dec., 1905, at Osage, Coryell County. Polly Ann KIRKLAND was born 9 Apr., 1821 (although her tombstone says 1824) in Tuscumbia, Colbert Co., AL. She was a daughter of Edward KELLUM, SR. and his wife Karen Happy TABOR KELLUM. Polly Ann died 21 June, 1893, Coryell County, TX. Both were buried in the Osage Cemetery.
