Good morning every one, and it is a good morning here, we are getting a good rain which was needed. Think I may have told you about the following before and there is a link on the home page. It is worth mentioning again, I found 3 references to my ggf in Parker Co. TX. "The WPA had a little known project during the later depression years to interview and record certain citizens history scattered around these states. These interviews have now been placed where they are accessable and sometime valuable information is obtained from them. You might consider adding the link to you county sites. There were several hundred in Texas but you can use the search engine and retrieve, from other states interviews, any with reference to Texas or family names. The pages all have warnings about special viewers but just scroll on down the text is there." http://lcweb2.loc.gov/ammem/wpaintro/wpahome.htm This was received this morning from Herman Weiland on the GenWeb list. Thanks for his thoughtfulness. Still looking for those of you who have large family files to volunteer to be a lookup on those families. We will display your address on our Surname look up page. We need all of the help we can get. You would not believe how small our volunteer group is, nor would you believe the amount of queries we get each week! Our home page has been averaging 30 hits a day since it went up! Seems that everyone was thirsting for Coryell County information! Happy hunting list members, have a good week.
