    1. [TXCORYEL-L] CHEW-EASTLAND-YALLOWBY
    2. I've reached a dead end and need some help. This is what I have on my earliest ancestors. Richard Oliver CHEW Son: Benjamin F. CHEW b; abt 1801 in Virginia First wife: Caroline EASTLAND b; ? in Pennsylvania her parents are William Mosby EASTLAND and Evangaline YALLOWBY. He was the first Officer to draw a black bean in the ill-fated Meir Expedition in Mexico. I can find all kinds of historic records of the expedition but nothing on where he lived or any of his family. I know that Benjamin is in the 1850 census of Texas but he shows up with a second wife (Elizabeth Unknown), his four children by Caroline and two by Elizabeth. What happened to Caroline? Did she even make it to Texas? I know her father was in Texas but where? The family story goes that three brothers came to America from Chewton, England. They were Richard, Benjamin and George. Is Richard Oliver CHEW one of the brothers? How would I go about finding that out? I would really appreciate any advice on these questions or better yet a connection to the family. I have recieved a lot of emails in the past pointing me to large CHEW databases. I have not found a connection yet. Thanks, Kristy
