Hamilton County Genealogy Society Meeting, Oct. 25, 2001. Guest speaker was Hamilton's own Kenneth "Mac" McAdams saved the day when the scheduled speaker for the Hamilton County Genealogical Society was forced to cancel for the October monthly meeting. Those who attended were enthralled by the vast information he provided on funeral home records and obtaining military records on deceased individuals. Reseachers should be happy to hear that the Society's volunteers have been busily indexing the 1860 and 1870 Census records of Hamilton County for publications. The "All Name" indexes will allow quick location of individuals in the census records without having to go through the eyestrain of reading through poorly copied and hard to read handwirting of the 1800's.
