Thank you Elreeta for your reply. I checked out the Gazeteer and found it most interesting. I also found a LITTLE COW HOUSE CEMETERY. Do you or anyone know of the COWHOUSE MOUNTAINS either in CORYELL CO. or HAMILTON CO, TX.? I am searching for the grave of LYNIA JANE (GODWIN) SELLERS, b. 1828-1830 NC or SC, d. 1870 CORYELL CO. TX and is supposedly buried near GATESVILLE, "near COWHOUSE MTS., LEON RIVER". I've been to the library in Gatesville, TX and she was not mentioned in the Mortality Schedule for 1870 nor in any of the cemetery rosters. Now I'm wondering if she might be listed in a roster for this LITTLE COW HOUSE CEMETERY and if there are such COWHOUSE MTNS. Do you or anyone have a roster for the LITTLE COW HOUSE CEMETERY? There is a "Little Cowhouse" cemetery in Hamilton Co. The cemetery has been adopted by Sarah Drake Bone SarDra4267@aol.com You can see the information in the "Texas Cemeteries Directory" on the volunteers web site for "Historic Texas Cemeteries". There is also a search feature on the home page where you can search for a cemetery by name. donna http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~txcemeteries/ PS: Please keep an eye out for the burial place of my great grandfather. His name was John Mitchell Webster born Feb. 1857 in Ark. and supposedly died around 1910 in Coryell County.
