My grandfather, James Anderson Nance was born in Oglesby, Coryell Co., TX on 24 Nov 1877. His father, James Bird McNight Nance, moved to this county, from Tippah Co., MS, between Jun 1876 and Nov 1877, and only remained there until 1880, when they moved to McLennan Co. My great grandmother, Mary Arbella Norton's family was found in Coryell Co., TX census in 1880, also. Her parents, Rev. James Washington and Nancy Caledonia Elliott Norton are buried in the Post Oak Cemetery. They were in Coryell Co. until she died in 1917. Kay Nance Linn Midland, TX kaynlinn@aol.com
