Hi John: I finally figured out that my gg grandfather James M. Payne joined the 30th TX Cavalry (Gurley's Regt.) in Waco, TX July 12, 1862 and that is the last record I have of him. Peggy Fox, Confederate Research Center, said lots of men from Coryell Co. joined that unit and lots died/killed in Indian Country. Am waiting for reply from National Archives in Washington, DC to see if they have Muster Records or other records off him. They are taking their time. Appreciate your interest. Trust all is well. I am sorry Bobbie but I am still not getting it? <grin> Will I be able to list all those people who were buried in those cemeteries inside Fort Hood?
