    1. [TXCORYEL] Manze Neyland McMeekin and Nancy Jane "Nannie"McMeekin Laman
    2. Mary Mitchell
    3. Dear Bobbie, I am researching the McMeekin family(My Mothers side) and hope you can help me. My great uncle married a woman named Manze Neyland. I am trying to find the location of her grave. When she passed away they lived in Oakton comm. Do you know where that is located? The Rev. Reynolds from Pearl performed her service and the undertaker was Morton Scott. She was reared in Ireland,Texas. The date of death was 4-12-l935. I am also looking for the grave site of my great aunt Nancy Jane "Nannie" McMeekin Laman. She passed away in l904. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mary __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send instant messages & get email alerts with Yahoo! 3. Meow....<grin> Do what I am doing. I am writing a history of all my Coryell Co. Families with any and everything I want in it. Along with pictures, stories and anything else interesting including the genealogies. I am going to put it in Book Form using my computer and run off copies and will put a copy in the library at Gatesville, Waco and various other places. I will also put a copy on Rootsweb and the LDS Library. That way I control it. I own it. And I can do what ever I want to with it. MEOW again. 3. Come 'on list members, send me biographies. Keep me busy, at the very least you should have the biographies that you wrote to go in the new Coryell County Families book. Let me put them online and they will be saved for posterity and future generations in another format. The wave of the future, to be saved in internet archives! I want pictures too, I am having trouble getting them on line at the moment, but hope to solve that. With 3 of my husband's families of Coryell County we are already ahead of most TX counties! Let's show them Coryell County! This is a place for us to use modern day techniques to save info about our pioneer families, anyone who is not living, please. The links can be followed to see what others are doing. I would actually prefer that these be written by you about your people, somewhat like we have the WPA biographies. These can be saved via internet, while those stories that you have placed in the new county book will be saved in print! Send this info to me as a text file please, as I also have to send it to the State co-ordinator. 1. [TXCORYEL] library news
    2. Bobbie Ross
    3. Reprinted from the Hoston Genealogical Forum: Yesterday I received my issue of the Texas State Library and Archives newsletter. A point of interest to us all is the announcement that the "State Library to launch LIBRARY OF TEXAS. [abstracted portions:] the State Library is currently laying the groundwork for a five-year build-out of new services, technology, and infrastructure. As each phase of the project is completed, the LIBRARY OF TEXAS will offer a growing variety of electronic information to school children and their parents; business owners and their customers; legislators and their constituents; and all others across Texas with access to the Internet, either through their local library or from their personal computers. The LIBRARY OF TEXAS project builds on existing agency services and extends thei scope and reach in ways never before possible. The core programs of the LIBRARY OF TEXAS included Online Databases .. in which public and academic libraries can access otherwise expensive subscription databases free of charge .... and permit library patrons to access them from their home or office computers. Electronic State Government Information ..... [*] Statwide Catalog - imagine extending the reach of one online catalog to include libraries across Texas. In one simple search, online patrons will be able to search for specific items; detemine where in Texas they can find them; and initiate an Interlibrary Loan to have them delivered to their local library. [*] Extensive Training to reach librarians across Texas. Over $40 million in grant monies from the Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund Board." Sounds exciting for everyone! Keep a watch on the progress; surely the news media will make note!? Bobbie Ross, county co-ordinator for Coryell County, Texas http://www.rootsweb.com/~txcoryel/
