    3. Can someone tell me if there is a place on the web to order the entire 1880 census for Texas? Can you even get it? If not how about the 1880 Johnson County census? I live in New York and can't get to Texas so I will have to order it if that is even possible. Thanks for your help. Lesley [email protected]

    3. How delighted I am that you found me, it really is a small world and getting smaller every day thanks to the internet. I am so glad to hear from someone that knows something, it is always the ones that "want" to know everything! I have agonized over the name Jorial, or Josial, finally decided that the prepondernece of the evidence pointed to Jorial and I would go with it. We put a tombstone on his and his wife's graves about 5 years ago. I will visit your page and get together with you. See list members, what can happen when you advertise your lines! 2. Elreeta Weathers
    3. My great-grandfather, Thomas Edwin STRIBLING, came to Coryell County from Hopkins County, TX, before 1875. Supposedly he came because two of his cousins were there. One cousin might have been a Foster, but don't know who the other might have been. Thomas Edwin, (son of Thomas Joseph Thadius STRIBLING and Jane Smiley McDONALD STRIBLING; grandson of Thomas Jefferson STRIBLING and Elizabeth ROGERS STRIBLING; great-grandson of James Clayton STRIBLING and Mary "Molly" "Polly" BECKHAM STRIBLING; gg-grandson of Thomas STRIBLING, Jr. and Nancy Ann KINCHELOE STRIBLING, and ggg-grandson of Thomas STRIBLING, Sr. and Elizabeth TALIAFERRO STRIBLING, Sr.) was born 29 December, 1850, in Neshoba Co., MS. Thomas Edwin moved with his parents and many relatives and friends from Neshoba Co., MS, to Hopkins Co., TX, in 1868. Thomas Edwin STRIBLING married Martha Mariah "Mattie" KIRKLAND (daughter of Dr. William Wilson KIRKLAND and Polly Ann KELLUM KIRKLAND) on 3 Feb., 1875, in Coryell County, TX. They were active members of Coryell Baptist Church. All of their children were born in this community. Some of their children were buried in the Osage Cemetery. Thomas Edwin and Mattie with all of their children and grandchildren left their homes in the Coryell Church Community on October 30, 1907. They stayed overnight in Gatesville with the families of Mattie's younger sisters, Sarah Emeline KIRKLAND and Felix BOYD and Rose Clementine KIRKLAND and John Wellington BOYD. Most of their caravan arrived at Blue Ridge in Hamilton County in the late evening of October 31. Thomas Edwin STRIBLING and his grandson, James Edwin CRAIN had errands to take care of before leaving Gatesville, so they did not arrive at their new home until November 1, 1907. I have much information about this family and would be happy to share with other relatives. 3. No! You are able to make arrangements with anyone privately to be agreed upon by the persons involved. Just don't want to ball up the list server! We hope that you are able to make connections through the list, do let us know of any successes you might have, we always need a lift after butting our heads against brick walls so often! 3. Bobbie, Did I ask you about the Coryell Reprinted Biographies? They were originally printed by the Lewis Pub. Co. of Chicago in 1893, and reprinted in segments by Newhouse Pub. in 1993. I have two of the volumes, one on history and bios, one of bios. You probably already have all 7, but if not, I will do lookups in Vols. IV and VII. 3. Bobbie I will be glad to do look up on the following Coryell County families. Cummings, Franks, Music, Medlin, Powell, Brookshire and Todd. Also I will be happy to send a floppy disk by mail or over the net if they will please tell me what kind of genealogy program they have. I have a lot of information on these families. Also add Holtzclaw and Seward families. I also have quite a lot of information of Pruitt (Pruett) Cargill and Blackwell Families and also the family of Jinnie Pruitt Jackson who m. Robert Jaxon in Milam Co., Tx. They raised their family in Coryell Co. All the above families lived in Coryell Co. 3. Margaret, we are limited by the GenWeb as to what we are supposed to do. Be sure to read the info page where you are asked to go and read before submitting to the automated boards. Do not offer to do work beyond "lookups" of what you have in your home. As I get a group of Surnames together I will begin to rework some of the family pages to make room for more lookups.
