A distant relative just told me that my great grandfather, Robert H. "Bob" Cagle (wife Milvinia Rickman Cagle) died in Gainsville, Texas while in route to Childress County, TX in 1896. The family was traveling by train and he became ill, not sure if he died on train or was taken off. I was wondering if there are any ways to prove this....newspapers, etc. Any help would be appreciated.
