I am researching the MOSES T. BROOKS family from Rutherford Co., TN. He was born abt 1794 and married NANCY TAIT July 14, 1813 in Wilson Co., TN. Known children are OCTAS or (Octao) born abt 1834, JAMES M. born abt 1838, and JOSEPH FRANKLIN born Mar 1, 1842 in Davidson Co., TN who married EMMA WILLIAMS and HESTER AUGUSTA HENDRICKS. Marriage to Hester was Feb 16, 1866 in Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TN. (My line stems from Joseph Franklin) Joseph's son JAMES (Jim) THOMAS was born Jan 4, 1867 in Eagleville, Rutherford Co., TN and he married 1st VINNIE BYRD on Dec 22, 1889, and 2nd LAURA DEZELIA TURNER on Feb. 5, 1899 in Decatur, Wise Co., TX. Jim lived in Wise Co., and also Cooke Co., TX. Joseph's other children were ALMEDA FLORILLA born Apr 1, 1868, JOSEPH (JOE) CHRISTOPHER born mar 4, 1870, IDAH EUGENIA born Dec 10, 1871, WILLIAM EDWARD born Feb 21, 1874, NANCY MAE REBECCA born Feb 10, 1876, ESSIE VIOLA born Feb. 18, 1887, TENNESSEE (TENNIE) BLANCHE born June 29, 1881, WALTER ISAAC born Nov. 26, 1883, FANNIE EVA BELLE born Mar 11, 1887, ORELLA born June 11, 1889, CLAUDE born Apr 8, 1892, and FAY born Aug 11, 1894. The children were born in Eagleville, Rutherford Co., TN, Dallas Co., TX, Tarrant Co., TX, and Wise Co., TX. I hope to find cousins to correspond with who are working on any of these lines.
