Could you tell me more about Augusta Hendricks? My ancestor is Thomas James Hendricks who marreid Laura Palmer in Cooke ct. There was also a Harrison G Hendricks who was a lawyer and land broker with John P Smith. Hello all, I wish someone that lived there in Cooke Co., Texas could check the New Hope Church cemetery and see if there is a marker for my g.g.grandmother. She was from Spartanburg, S.C., and her husband, my g.g.grandfather, being killed in the Civil War, she remarried a Calvert and migrated to Gainesville, Cooke Co., Texas. She died in 1874 and was buried in New Hope Church cemetery. I would just like to know where her grave is in case I can make it out there one day (I live in Alabama).
