Hoping someone will read this that works with old publications around 1894 . R.E.L. (Robert E. Lee)Robinson/Robeson left this area after the 1880 census and went to Arizona. He lived in and around Phoenix. He taught school, was a reporter for several newspapers and an explorer. He was murdered on the island of Tiburon in May of 1894. Have been hoping that someone would come across a local account of his death as it made the AP wire. His parents were John and Ellen Self Robeson. Any help would be appreciated. Faye, The Gainesville newspaper was in existance in 1894. You might contact the library to see if they have his murber in their file. The Gainesville paper was not good about including obituaries.
