Good evening! I have an old land platt map which covers the northwest corner of Cooke Co., TX. near the Red River. My husband and I saw a huge map hanging on the wall of a surveyor office in Gainesville, TX. back in 1988.(I do not remember name of office) Though we could not remove the map and copy it, I did manage to take a few photos of a particular part of it. There are a lot of names on there. If anyone has people who may have been in that area in the 1870s on, and you would like to know if they owned property in the northwest part of the county, this map may show it. Send me your names and I will look. The map contains first and last name, so I will need that. Wendy
