Hello all, I have a pic of my great great grandmother who is buried out there in Cooke Co., Texas. Below is an excerpt from my White family file telling of her and where she was buried: ----------------------------------------------------- ISABELLA JANE MCDOWELL, B. 6/21/1830, Spartanburg, S.C.,--Died 4/13/1874 in Gainsville, Texas in the home of her then present (2nd) husband at that time, whom she had married in 1866 and then gone to Texas with, Mr. James Henry Calvert, who also fought in the War For Southern Independence in Holcombe's Legion, S.C. Vols., C.S.A.. She is buried in the graveyard at Mount Hope Church in Gainsville, Cooke Co., Tex.. She was the daughter of Henry and Dorcas Foster McDowell. 2nd Husband of Isabell Jane McDowell: James Henry Calvert issue: From letter dated 1939 from Mary Gentry Knight: 1. James Jasper Calvert, b. in 1872 in Upshur Co., Texas. 2. Isabella Jane McDowell Calvert, b. 1874 in Cooke Co., Tex. 3. Nannie Calvert, Plainview, Texas. 4.
