Would any one be researching the Gaines who were in and around Gainesville, Tx.? Would any one have a marriage book for marriages about 1895-1900? Would there be any Gaines listed in it. Would like the names and dates if so. Ola Mae ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Juno now offers FREE Internet Access! Hello, Cooke Co. Researchers! I need your help. I have just received a copy of the T.J. Cornes' mother's obit that ran up in PA. T.J. Cornes is listed at the time of her death living in Woodvine, TX. To my knowledge there is no such place. I am thnking it was a "typeo" and should have been Woodbine. I know he was involved in lumber in various ways. I know his family moved from one place to another. Does anyone have any knowledge of this CORNES family being in the Woodbine are. Was there ever much lumber business going on in Cooke Co.? If you can help me please respond. I would really appreciate it. Thanks for reading this. Ever Searching, Judy

People, I wonder if the people of Fannin,Grayson and Cooke would be on the look-out for where my three Ancestor are buried as they read index's of Ceme. We have been to Bondham, Sherman, and Gainsville three times looking and had no luck. My only hope is as more grave info is added, they might show up. Their names are Hugo Coffman/Kaufman/Kauffman B.1869-1869 and mother Magdalean S.Sheltom/Coffman/Kaufman/Kauffman d.1869, and Husband, Andrew D. Kauffman/Kaufman/Coffman, Nov./3/1773 (listed killed). I have a feeling he could be buried anywhere from Gainsville east to Bondham, as his son Walter E. was running the Red River ferry just north of Gainsville in 1880's. Thank you so much for looking as you go along in index's. And I got to say "We just loved the Red River Valley" and especially The Piney woods near Harrison Co. We are even thinking about writing a song about the red river valley,<grin> Bye the Coffman's in Kansas ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ==== TXGRAYSO Mailing List ==== --- Author Retains Copyright --- -- Copyright 2000 Author -- All Rights Reserved Post to List: TXGRAYSO-L@rootsweb.com http://www.selfroots.com Unsubscribe Requests: TXGRAYSO-L-request@rootsweb.com ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------=_NextPart_000_143e35d3_101ac527$1db69e0f--

Searching for a WILSON family who may have lived in the vicinity of the James Terral BERRY home in Cooke County, probably about half way between Gainesville and Whitesboro on north side of Hwy. Louisa E. WILSON married James Terral BERRY in Gainesville, Cooke, TX 24 January 1862. James BERRY already had three children, John, Delilah Catherine, and Julia, by his first marriage. I know that Louisa E. WILSON was born in AL as was James Terral BERRY. Louisa died sometime after the birth of her last child in 1877 and the remarriage of James Terral BERRY in 1902. Does anyone know of a site for a Cooke County land map for 1860's time period? Any help much appreciated. Peggy LaPorte hdilt@swbell.net
