Belle's maiden name was HART. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Speculation: (I know it is a no-no! LOL) Hattie is Belle's sister? Hattie just elaborated more on her parents place of birth? Freddie was born in Aug, (so was Frederick FEIBELMAN), so they named him after his uncle? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A couple of doors down were: HEYMAN, Michael 2 Ward Gainesville, Cooke Co., TX Microfilm 1623; Book 2; Page 66 June 22, 1900 110 Dixon Street HEYMAN, Michael, head of house, b. Michael may be Max's older brother? Max came over here first, then Michael? Michael knew where his parents were born, but not Max? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Then I have a some Naturalization Laws on a couple of HEYMAN's, and a couple of FEIBELMAN's. Can anyone tell me anything about these laws? Like how and where can I get them? What kind of information will they tell me? Can anyone help? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Max and Belle are both buried in Elmwood Cem. in Birmingham, Jefferson Co., AL. Can anyone help me on this line? Yep, its been known to happen. Check the dates on the top of the pages - the one in the eastern census was probably before the western one. Just to make sure, i'd check both counties in the census years before and after, to make sure that one or the other family isnt still there. If the eastern family is still there in the next census year they might actually be two different families. -Ben At 10:51 AM -0500 1/23/01, lmusic1@bellsouth.net wrote: >Can one family appear on two different census reports, in the same year, >in two different states? >Let me hear what you think. >Y'all can e mail me personally, if you want. >Kay R. The tardy date on messages may be due to folks who have computers like mine! I have repeatedly set the clock and date only to have it return to some date of it's own choosing. I will need to take the whole computer to someone who knows how to fix it, I guess. HOWEVER, that is the only problem I am having, so probably won't get it fixed any time soon. eg. My computer says it is 10:54 P.M., but it is really 3:54 P.M....Don't blame the folks who maintain the Cooke Co. Website. They may not be to blame.
I am looking for information about the Daniel MARTIN family (widow and heirs). They were granted several Land Patents in Cooke Co., TX, in 1858. I'm trying to confirm that this Daniel MARTIN is the brother of James and Eli MARTIN, and that Daniel was from the Rusk Co. TX, Martin's Creek area. I have lots of information on James' family to share. Thanks, Cindy
