    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Buescher, Eyedemann, Rosenfelder Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XhB.2ACE/587.2.1 Message Board Post: Even though my Bueschers never went to Texas, I thought I'd put out some info on them for your knowledge. When my husband and I went to Texas, we were intrigued by the Buescher State Park and had to visit it and read all about it. My branch of the family came from a small village named Seeste near Westerkappeln, Westphalia, Germany. They arrived in Baltimore in 1882 and settled in Staunton, Macoupin, IL. My grandfather, Frederich Johann, apparently did not want to be a coal miner so moved to the suburban St. Louis, MO area for truck farming while the rest of the family stayed in IL. His male children including my father, Fred George, all reverted to their German heritage of farming. I have no brothers so my line has died out, but I have many cousins with the name now spread across the country. Another large group of Bueschers came to IL from Leinan [not sure of spelling] which is in that same part of Germany. I have church records from Germany taking them back man! y generations and will be glad to share information.
