    3. I've corresponded with several people over the years regarding this family. But mostly just compiling the information and passing on what others have sent to me since it is not my direct line. My grandfather's first wife was the daughter of Sophie mentioned in the 1860 census. I wonder why she is not listed in 1850. She is listed on the ship manifest when the arrived at Galveston in 1843. She married Edward Peters who is listed in the same household in 1860. Sophie and some of the children moved to OK without Edward. She is buried in Caddo OK.
