Unfortunately, it is unmarked and not easy to find. Once you do find it, it is completely covered with trees and thick brush and looking through it is very difficult. (I suggest wearing long sleeves and pants to cut down on scratches.) Many of the stones have been damaged...my family was almost impossible to find (but I finally did). However there is a list of the people buried there that was compiled in 1989, when it must have been in better shape. It is in a book called Colorado County Cemeteries Sec.3 Weimar Area Cemeteries. The Clayton Library in Houston has this book and I would imagine the library in Columbus would have it, too. All the cemeteries in the area and the people buried there are listed. I only copied the pages with my family, so I can't tell you if you're family is listed. Also, I now live in Maryland and don't have access to the book anymore or I would gladly do a lookup for you. Just in case you need them, here are the directions to Clear Creek Cemetery. It's just outside Oakland on County Rd. 250, less than one half mile from its intersection with FM 2144 and just after its intersection with County Rd. 248. It's on the right behind a locked gate. There is no sign. All you will see behind the gate are trees and brush. You have to start searching quite a bit to the left of the gate for the gravestones. The woman who lives behind it told me that family researchers come by fairly often, so it's probably okay to go over the gate. She only had the county lock it to keep the kids out at night (I doubt if that worked. LOL.) Hope this helps.Good luck. Sherri
