If in your search on your husband's family you run across Edward Charles Bates (who married my grandmother Laura Irene Evans) please let me know. All we have on him is his death certificate which we sent off for. The cert. says he was born in Greenwich, Ct. and died in Montgomery, AL. It does not list his birthdate but states he was 64 years old. My uncle "Bobby" Evans Bates says he was born March 6 1866 and the certificate says he died Oct. 26, 1930 from cancer of the liver. He was much older than my grandmother, was a lawyer( we heard) but can not find anything on him on the internet. No has replied to my posts. Thanks, Jerrie
