The annual PAGEL family reunion will be held at noon on July 8 at the St. Katherine Parish Hall of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Tivoli. The Pagels, who immigrated to Texas in 1850, had nine children: 1. Friedrich "Wilhelm" Pagel married Magdalene FRITSCHE 2. Charles Pagel married Johanna KUEHNE 3. August Pagel married Louisa SPIECKERMANN 4. Wilhelmine married Friedrich FISCHER 5. Fredericka married Friedrich LADEWIG 6. Fritz Pagel married Helena FEHRENKAMP 7. Emilie married William APPELT 8. Ernest Pagel married Anna APPELT 9. Julius Pagel married Anna ROTHER Wilhelmine FISCHER lived in Colorado County, Charles, August, Fredericka, Fritz, and Emilie lived in Lavaca County, Ernest lived in Refugio County. August and Julius each spent time in Jackson County. Friedrich "Wilhelm" Pagel lived in Fayette County. Tivoli is 35 miles south of Victoria and 30 miles north of Rockport. The hosts will provide barbecue. Other family members are asked to bring side dishes or desserts. There will be large family charts and notebooks with old photos and newspaper articles.
