Her great grandfather and some brothers arrived in Texas from Germany in the 1800's. Arnold Obenhaus was born in Lippe-Detmold, Germany in 1813. He and several brothers came to this country in the early 1840's and settled first in Weimar, Colorado County, Texas. They later sent back to Germany for other members of the family. I have collected a good bit of info on my wifes direct lineage. Get back in touch...maybe we can share our efforts. Jim White
