His daughter Mahalia married Asa Smith in Columbus in 1841. His daughter Mary Jane married John Suggs in 1839 in Florida and they came to Columbus and raised a family there. His son David married Mary Townsend. His son James S. Hope moved to Kerr County and raised a large family there. His daughter Susan married Orin Andrews in Columbus in 1858. His daughter Victoria married Cornelius Hutchins in Columbus in 1859. His daughter Lenora married Jacob Townsend in Columbus in 1870. His daughter Ada Alice/Alice Annie married Noah Zumwalt in 1875 in Kerr County. His son George married Mollie Dement in Colorado County in 1886. His daughter Martha married G. Kincheloe in Colorado County in 1877. His daughter Elizabeth Katherine (Katy) married Alexander Merritt in Kerr County in 1878. James Hope was married to five different spouses: Jerusha Gordon, Hannah Minerva Alexander, Nancy Isabella Cummings, Julia Bateman, and Milly Ann Newsom. Willing to share info with other descendants.
