I'm curious about a small community (at least it looks small on the maps) called Rock Island TX. I just found out that one of my Garnett Relatives lived in Rock island in 1910 and to at least 1916. What is there? This relative moved from Monroe County MO to Texas, what kind of area is it? (I've never been to Texas). Does anyone on this list have access to burial or marriage records from that area?? His name was John Wesley Garnett his wife was Sadie Schrivenor. They had at least one son named Willis.
