Posted on: Colorado County, TX Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Colorado/10580 Surname: Meyer ------------------------- Hello, I found your note of Johann Heinrich Meyer and I am thinking that this person could be my ancestor only the marriage that you are speaking of would have had to have been his second because his son was Friedrich and nowhere can I find reference to Heinrich's wife except yours to this marriage. I am also thinking that Heinrich is the brother of the father of Adolph Meyer of Meyersville, Tx. I am looking for the parents of Friedrich Meyer born 02/21/1833 (Lutheran) (buried in Lone Oak Cemetery - Seguin, TX.). Of what I do know is that he arrived in the United States in the state of Texas. I believe that he arrived on the ship Apolla in 1848 from Indianola and this is unverified. In addition to the above, Ernst Meyer born 12/08/1834 (also buried at Lone Oak) was the brother of Friedrich. I have just found out that their father's name is Heinrich Meyer and that Ernst traveled to the USA as a young man. I am told that these ancestors were born in the city of Hannover in the state of Hanover. I found the names of Friedrich, Ernst, Heinrich (I believe he may be Friedrich's father) and Henry which I believe is Friedrich's son) in the 1870 Texas Census in Colorado County living in parts of Berardino Prairie and I believe one other place (I just found this out today and is a big coincidence). Please see http://members.aol.com/greentek/meyer.html. Please let me know. If you have any information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much, Charlane Meyer-Miller
