They aired a report about this virus on the news the other night. Typically, you should not download any files with the extension .exe unless you are expecting a file from someone. Also, files with two or more file extensions are always viruses. For exaample if you got something like wtc.doc.exe you could almost ascertain that it is a virus. lennonluv@hotmail.com "The unknown is what it is. I got this on another list, and since this is a REAL virus warning, I'm passing it on. I got several of these "see ya later" messages over the weekend but didn't open any of them. Gail WATCH FOR SIRCAM SirCam is the nickname for a nasty little Internet worm that's arriving in lots of Inboxes. we'll take a moment to tell you what to look for. Sircam (full name W32.Sircam.Worm@mm) arrives either via email or it copied to shared network drives. The email contains a subject line including a file name from the sending computer. The subject and message body can be in English or Spanish. In English the message body will always start with "Hi! How are you?" and end with "See you later. Thanks." If you run the file attached to the email message the virus will spread via email in various ways and also copy itself to other computers on your network. In this latter way you can be infected even if you are good about checking / ignoring email attachments. The virus can also delete files on your computer, fill the hard drive to capacity and compromise your privacy (by sending a random file from your computer out to email recipients. You should update your anti-virus software then do a full scan of your hard drives and any network shared drives. If the virus is detected the AV software should remove it but you should also empty the Recycle bin and make sure your Autoexec.bat file hasn't been tampered with. For full details on Sircam and removing it check out ZDnet http://chkpt.zdnet.com/chkpt/hud0007500a/www.zdnet.com/zdhelp/stories/main/0 ,5594,2776123,00.html or Symantec http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sircam.worm@mm.html
If in your search on your husband's family you run across Edward Charles Bates (who married my grandmother Laura Irene Evans) please let me know. All we have on him is his death certificate which we sent off for. The cert. says he was born in Greenwich, Ct. and died in Montgomery, AL. It does not list his birthdate but states he was 64 years old. My uncle "Bobby" Evans Bates says he was born March 6 1866 and the certificate says he died Oct. 26, 1930 from cancer of the liver. He was much older than my grandmother, was a lawyer( we heard) but can not find anything on him on the internet. No has replied to my posts. Thanks, Jerrie
Jerrie, Thank you. This is the first I have gotten on the Evans family since I have been working on my husband's family. I appreciate your help. Tommie

I believe I have Sophia Sommerlatte in my family tree. Although I am not a descendant of Sophia, I do have information on her. Sophia Marie Sommerlatte b. 12 Aug 1877 in Texas m. Charles Frederick W. Aigner between 1898 and 1902 in Texas. They had at least 4 children: Bertha Aigner b. abt 1902, Eleanor Aigner b. 1904, Alma Aigner b. abt 1907, and Hugo William Aigner b. 1909. All children were born in Texas. Charles, Sophia and their 4 children appeared in the 1920 Milam Co, Tx census. If this looks like it fits your information, please email me at Kelly19_Belly81@hotmail.com or MaineBear01@aol.com. I am interested in finding out the names of Sophia's parents. Thanks Kelly Williams
