    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Prihoda, Sykowski Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XhB.2ACE/566.1.1 Message Board Post: Regarding the Sykowski surname : There was a Frances Alice Prihoda who married a Sykowski. Don't know her husband's name. Frances was born December 29, 1933 in Fort Bend Co., TX; her father was Louis J. Prihoda and mother Mary Dirba. But the birth record had mispelled the name as Prichada. Her brothers and sisters were Albert Clarence, Helen, Ludmila Albina, and Robert, born in Fort Bend Co., Brazoria or Colorada Counties. Louis J. (Julius) Prihoda was brother to Gregor or Gregory Prihoda. You may contact me direct at sahphotonut@ev1.net if you wish. Sandy

I had been thinking just yesterday how great if would be to view some pictures of back then. I have been into this only about 3 months now, had almost zero to start with on my dad's side, and have found tons of stuff, and lots of kin! There are about 15 or so in Colorado County, and 2 blacksmiths, and a doctor, so those pictures might be really something for me in the end, but otherwise, it will be great to see the buildings, or whatever is in them! I hope you have put any kind of labeling of maybes for local if you have any idea, because I sure would not. I don't have anyone that I know of from Austin Co. I have looked over my map of 254 Tx. Counties, and haven't found it, but I'd love to have those pictures also. I hope this offer of yours doesn't give you a full time! job sending pictures to people. This is certainly one guy that appreciates it BIG TIME!!!

    1. William Bell circa 1840's Land Grants?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: BELL AMES ALEXANDER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XhB.2ACE/614 Message Board Post: Seeking information on William Bell who filed and received 2 land grants in Colorado County. The Abstract numbers for the land grants were #79 and #103. What info regarding this man would be available in the abstract files? Trying to determine if this is the same as my William Bell who was born in Ireland, migrated thru KY, where at least two of his children remained. Their names were Martha Ann and Fanny. Martha Ann married my gggrandfather in Jefferson County, KY in 1835. Her g'daughter wrote that William Bell had "won" land in Texas by war. Matha's husband, Orson Ames, travelled to Texas after Wm.'s death to look into land matter. Wm. Bell's wife (in KY) may have had the last name of Alexander. Any clues or info appreciated.
