My name is Henrik Kulms and I live in Sandefjord, Norway. My grandfather Wilhelm Ernst Kulms born 15.12.1897 came from Hamburg, Rahlstedt. At what time he moved to Norway is unknown. Since the Kulms name is rather unusual I would like to know whether we might be related. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a peaceful Christams and a happy New Year. Best regards, Henrik
I apologize for not mentioning in my earlier email the indexes that Vera Mendoza made available to us. You will now find Confederate material listed on its own page http://www.rootsweb.com/~txcolora/confederatemat.htm With receiving her index to Confederate Pension Applications and to Confederate Indigent Families, the amount of material has grown enough to warrant its own page. Nesbitt Library has also recently added more online material on the Confederacy. This material is also linked to the above site. Again, Happy Holidays, Dorothy Albrecht albrecht@fais.net County Coordinator, Colorado County TXGenWeb Project http://www.rootsweb.com/~txcolora/index.htm
Season's Greetings to each of you. Great things have been happening on the Colorado County TXGenWeb site. Recently David Strickland furnished us with an Excel data base of all Colorado County Marriages from 1966 to 2001. With the help of my grandson and Bill Stein, they are now online alphabetized by both brides and grooms. Thank you David. On Friday, I received notification that the census images for 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910, and 1920 had been uploaded to rootsweb. We have the Nesbitt Memorial Library and the Nesbitt Memorial Library Foundation to thanks for this great addition. You will recall that they furnished us with 1930 images earlier. You may access any of the above data by going to http://www.rootsweb.com/~txcolora/onlinedata.htm David Hahn did a searchable index for 1930 and several volunteer did the same for 1850 and 1860. We are working on searchable indexes for 1870 and 1900. If any of you are interested in helping with any of the indexing, please contact me. Work continues on our obituary project. Dennis Boatright and Dorothy Cox are helping with transcriptions.(Copying obits that are not their relatives) Many others have been sending in obituaries on their family members. I have received several emails from researchers who have been helped by this project. Keep up the good work. Happy Holidays, Dorothy Albrecht albrecht@fais.net County Coordinator, Colorado County TXGenWeb Project http://www.rootsweb.com/~txcolora/index.htm

When my husband and I went to Texas, we were intrigued by the Buescher State Park and had to visit it and read all about it. My branch of the family came from a small village named Seeste near Westerkappeln, Westphalia, Germany. They arrived in Baltimore in 1882 and settled in Staunton, Macoupin, IL. My grandfather, Frederich Johann, apparently did not want to be a coal miner so moved to the suburban St. Louis, MO area for truck farming while the rest of the family stayed in IL. His male children including my father, Fred George, all reverted to their German heritage of farming. I have no brothers so my line has died out, but I have many cousins with the name now spread across the country. Another large group of Bueschers came to IL from Leinan [not sure of spelling] which is in that same part of Germany. I have church records from Germany taking them back man! y generations and will be glad to share information.

I've corresponded with several people over the years regarding this family. But mostly just compiling the information and passing on what others have sent to me since it is not my direct line. My grandfather's first wife was the daughter of Sophie mentioned in the 1860 census. I wonder why she is not listed in 1850. She is listed on the ship manifest when the arrived at Galveston in 1843. She married Edward Peters who is listed in the same household in 1860. Sophie and some of the children moved to OK without Edward. She is buried in Caddo OK. I'm reading the various threads you've written on the Phillips and Eason lines. I feel like I've won the lottery! I've been so lost with the Washington line of the family, it is pathetic. Now that I have the Phillips line going, maybe I'll finally find out who Thomas Abbie's father was! I tried to send you my snail mail address via email, but I get maildaemon messages saying I can't get through to you, darn it. Do you know of a problem with your email? Thanks for your help, Jo! Jan

Thomas married Addie Eason, one of his classmates. Now if I could just find information on who Thomas's parents were. I'm guessing his mother was Nancy Phillips, but I don't have his father's name. Do you have any of this info as well? I really appreciate your help! :-) Jan
