I was happy to see the story of the Lee-Peacock feud on WFAA channel 8, but I also recognized that is was very much a Peacock slant, as it would be, Larry Peacock has been working several years to tell his side of the story. I am like Joy in that I have never read anywhere about Peacock's helping former slaves or blacks escape the Lee's & others abuse. That was all very new to me, and even confusing?!?! The most factual account of the Feud (to me) was written by T.U. Taylor a professor at the University of Texas in the early 1900's + there are numerous newspaper accounts of the time. I don't recall in any of these the new Peacock slant on the Feud.
