Denise (your Listowner) James Maddox b. abt. 1815 Lincoln County, TN m. Jane Woodall Children: Manerva, William M., John Harrison, James M., Mary A., Francis Marion, Sarah Caroline, Melinda Ellen. James brought his family from TN to Itawamba County, MS to Arkansas, and then to Texas in the early 1850's. His last 2 children were born in Collin County. James had several brothers and sisters and they all migrated to Texas. His oldest brother Nicholas came to Texas in the mid 1830's. He also lived in the Collin & Grayson County area's. The Maddoxes were involved in the Lee-Peacock Feud of the famous "Four Corners" of Collin, Grayson, Hunt, & Fannin counties.
