I have some information on Elizabeth Lewis. Before 1900, Betsy and most of her children moved to Texas. Hamilton and family moved to Collin County, Texas. Mary Jane remained in Tennessee. In the 1900 census for Navarro County, Texas, dated 3 July 1900, Elizabeth was listed with her son George and his family. Her birthdate was given as Feb 1829. She was listed as age 71, and she had eight children, all living. They lived next to Charlie and William and Susannah. In the 1910 census for Navarro County, Elizabeth was living with her son, George, and his family. She was listed as age 82. Betsy applied for pension in Collin County. James Preston Griffin and Felix Grundy Lewis signed the application. Betsy lived in Navarro County and Collin County. She may have moved back to Cocke County, Tennessee, as a will was found there, dated 17 March 1913. She left everything to George W. Allen of Dallas, Texas.
