    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: willardwilliams54 Surnames: Johnson/Young/Birdwell/Brashears Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.texas.counties.collin/7538.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Richard Washington 'Wash' Johnson married Emma C. Young on 16 Feb 1890, in Blount County, TN. They had a least one son, Frank Moriston Johnson, born in Commerce (Hunt County), Texas, on 17 Dec 1894. Since Wash married Mary 'Mollie' Birdwell on 15 Sep 1900 in Collin Co, I am assuming that Emma died between 1894 and 1900 in either Hunt County or Collin County. Of course, it could also have been a divorce; however, Frank was living with Wash and Mollie in Blount County, TN in 1910. Wash and Emma may have had 2 other sons, James and Wesley Johnson, but I have not been able to find anything on them. I still have some holes to plug on this branch of my tree, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I am still looking for: parents of Emma C. Young Johnson (b: abt 1870, SC or TN death date and place of burial for Emma other children of Wash and Emma the name of Mollie Birdwell Johnson's first husband (a Brashears) any information on Edna Brashears (daughter of Mollie and first husband) Again, thanks for any help that someone may be able to give. 3. In the 1900 census in Collin county I found John Birdwell 62, Lucicia? Birdwell, wife, 46, daughter Mary A Brashears 26, married 5 years; Edna Brashears, granddaughter, 3. Next door to them are John and Martela Penny and his brother in law Nathan and mother in law Fannie Brashears. They are out by Blue Ridge, near the Hunt border line. As it happens our society is copying the marriages records and I just printed Book 10 # 160. R. T. Brashears - May R. Tiley Birdwell 19 April 1896 by D. W. Grounds L. E Ill ask the lady who is doing the transcription to look at it again. Could easily be Mary A... Looks like R T died (or left) and she is living with her parents next door to her inlaws. This is in June and she married Wash in September. I found a Frank Johnson, 5 boarding with Thomas Newell or Nowell. Hunt co in pct 6, area E of Willow Oak creek, near Commerce. In 1880 in Giles TN I found Jno F Birdwell 50 , wife Lucrecia, 30, children include Mary A 9.... also in Giles TN is Berry Brashears, Frances, and Nathan. ----- Original Message ----- From: Linda Baker<mailto:ndnblu@texoma.net> To: txcoll-n@rootsweb.com<mailto:txcoll-n@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, July 17, 2008 8:31 PM Subject: Re: [TXCOLL-N] Wash Johnson/Molly Birdwell Update Who were Mollie Birdwell's parents?
