TN and in the 1870 census in Collin Co. The Arron of my interest is listed at age 9. The Democrat of 8/23/1900 states "Mrs McMahan age 77 died at the home of her son-in-law Arron Bryant ---- buried in Pecon Grove Cemetery". My Great Grandfather Joseph Manning McMahan is buried not far from Arron Bryant's marker. I think the Mrs McMahan may be the mother of Joseph Manning McMahan. Prior researchers, however, assure me the mother of Joseph Manning McMahan never came to Texas and they have no record of a sister, only brothers of Joseph Manning Mcmahan. Can any one tell me if cemetery records exist for this time period? There is room for several unmarked graves near the present day markers for Arron, Joseph Manning his wife and son William.
